What’s the Hype Around ‘ONDA’?

2021 is seeing an interesting growth in cosmetic surgery; ever since COVID-19 began, people are spending more on their appearance than ever. The engineers have clearly been working hard, because this year has also seen the most significant technological advancement in treatments yet. What used to be long, painful surgeries have turned into half-hour appointments, and our clinics are seeing bookings soar from clients wishing to try these new and exciting techniques.

ONDA is one such trend – an award winning technology that zaps cellulite with the click of a button. You might have seen it on your Instagram feed, but what does it actually do, and is it worth your money? We’ve got the information here for you so you can see what the hype is all about.

How does it work?

In short, ONDA is a non-surgical treatment option for cellulite and body contouring, namely for post-baby bellies, upper arm fat, buttocks, stomachs, and thighs. It uses microwaves called CoolwavesTM to deliver energy and heat to the chosen area, targeting and killing fat cells. This results in a shrinkage of fibres causing any loose, saggy skin. It can feel like a deep tissue massage: two for the price of one anyone?

While electromagnetic treatment is by no means a new idea, technicians are taking these treatments further every year to provide simpler and less painful options. To achieve optimum results, I normally recommend my clients undertake an ONDA treatment at least once a month for four to six weeks.  It really is as easy as popping in to see your hairdresser.

What are the benefits?

You’re most likely well aware that fancy-sounding technology doesn’t always equal fantastic results, so you probably want to know what ONDA looks like at the end of treatment. One result of fat cell targeting is predictably, fat and cellulite reduction. Before and after pics show a smoother, thinner look for targeted areas, as well as tightened skin for a refined look. ONDA also offers multiple machine handle sizes, meaning the treatment area can be as large or small as desired. As mentioned before, the best part is the convenience. No horrific mental images of surgery, and no post-op scars that make your friends and family go … hmm …

So is it worth the hype?

Cosmetic alterations are becoming incredibly easy to achieve, but many of us are still wary of costs, privacy issues and recovery times. For anyone thinking about cosmetic contouring but not keen at the thought of surgical knives and weeks recovering, ONDA is the happy medium you’ve been hoping for. Check it out for yourself!
